Public Profiles

An Engrade profile gives teachers the option to share class information with students and families. A teacher's profile can be made public or private. If the profile is public, it may be indexed by search engines and made visible via a Google search, Yahoo search, etc.

A teacher's public profile can be found by entering the URL http://www.engrade.com/teacherusername. Engrade profiles can include a welcome message, assignments with due dates, Wikis and Flashcards.

Edit Public Profile

  1. Hover over Account on the top blue bar and select Edit Profile from the drop-down menu.

  2. To turn enable/disable your Public Profile, (un)select the check box next to Allow students and parents to get class information at http://www.engrade.com/teacherusername.

  3. You may enter a personal message in the text box. You can use ETML formatting to display additional font options.

  4. Click the Submit button to save your changes.

Disable Public Profile

  1. Hover over Account on the top blue bar within your account and selecting Edit Profile from the drop-down menu.

  2. On the Edit Profile page, uncheck the box to the left of Allow students and parents to get class information at http://www.engrade.com/yourusername.

  3. Click the Submit button to save your changes.

Please note: Disabling your public profile link will not automatically remove the link from Google and other search engines. Since the profile was originally set to public, search engines like Google were able to index the page. You can remove this link from Google by changing your Engrade username and not linking to the profile anywhere else.
